Lots of fun to play. As a bonus, it works very well on my antiquated iPad 2.

I got down to the second level, moderately well equipped, and was immensely enjoying the game, when it suddenly froze. After several game and device restarts, I am still unable to play for more than a minute or two without the game freezing. Please fix this issue.
Takes me back to childhood with my Apple lle and floppy disk of Wizardry. I wanna stay in this pit forever. Adventures, puzzles and monsters, what more can you want ? Expansion packs iap
I am absolutely addicted to this game, the puzzles are great, the combat feels powerful, the spells and magic are amazing, but there I only have one question. Why is this game a whole gigabyte?
Brilliant execution of a retro gaming experience - Grimrock grips you from the beginning - from the restart at the end of the first level when you realize you didnt create your characters just so to the guilty save and try try again at the tougher areas. And dont forget the long periods of starvation as you desperately try to find food. The secrets within secrets are similarly fiendish and fun. Highly recommended - expect to be addicted and looking forward to that next level up to add more skills.
This game features many innovative puzzles, some excellent combat and is overall very well polished. I think the character leveling could be expanded with branching skill trees like Etrian odyssey or spell mixing like Magika. Ive played the sequel briefly on PC and hope it comes to IPad.
Got to lvl 4. Updated. Now it insta-crashes.
Ive had a lot of fun playing LoG. Reminds me of that old Eye of the Beholder series. One thing that is really annoying is that some groups of mobs can only really be defeated by gimmicks such as going around in circles on a 2 by 2 grid or opening and closing a door. I dont like this as it kills the RPG elements completely for me. Also, Im playing on normal and some mob groups can only be defeated this way. Another glaring omission from the game is lack of iCloud support. Would love to be able to pick up where I left off on either my iPhone or iPad. Sadly Im stuck with whatever save games are stored locally.
It started pretty cool, kinda like Morrowind! But there is too much to manage for a tablet game; gotta find weapons and clothes, constantly refresh torches, finding food is a betch and the puzzle like tricks to progress through the maze , and then there are the monsters that poison you and you have to constantly run back to a crystal to resurrect your fallen team members. Sheeez! Delete.
I was really loving this game (did have to consult a walkthrough a couple times) until I got to the 4th level. Theres only a finite amount of XP to be earned, equipment, food and spells, so the first monsters you meet in lvl 4 are too overpowered to beat. Its not like you can go back and grind to level up the characters. So now I have an app sitting there that I cant play, because I cant advance into the maze. The previous levels were challenging, but at least there was a chance to win. Hope you have better luck than I did!
Lengthy gameplay, quality character creation, and highly difficult. If you get stuck , simply ask the Internet.
This game is challenging and engaging. Great nostalgic feel, great puzzles, well worth the money. Piece of advice, save at the beginning of each level!
Really enjoying this game. Brings me back to the 90s of good fun dungeon crawling
Im have having fun. Thats all that matters.
Okay so I love this game a lot! The only bad things are... I wish there we e a few more class and race choices. You could split the different classes into smaller ones like the fighter having an archer, a warrior and a juggernaut the archer could be quick on his feet the warrior could be average, and etc. I also wish that there was an arena or something and definetlu different dungeons with different themes. Like one being a steampunk one the other bieng a froz n ice one and another bieng a jungle one. Also random map generation would definatlwy improve the aspect of restarting. Another class idea is the Mage bieng split up into-healer-offensive-defensiv-and support. I think this game should be on the editors choice or if u add some of the stuff me and other people have asked for maybe you could get on best new updates. You should also add a crafting thing to it it and maybe, just maybe, you could add a way that if you follow the game and finish it you can go back to town And buy stuff and enter new dungeons to get gold or find the person that accused you
This is an excellent old-school *Sign in to Game Center* dungeon crawler. If you are looking for a huge dungeon game with tons of puzzle, hidden secrets, and monsters, and you like to be constantly bugged to sign in to Game Center, then this game is for you. The puzzles are tough enough to get you thinkings, but *Sign in to Game Center” have enough hints to be solvable. The graduation of *Sign in to Game Center* monster difficulties is well-matched *Sign in to Game Center* to the player XP progression, resulting in some very challenging foes that will generally fall to appropriately clever tactics. Plus, you have many, many, opportunities to sign in to Game Center. In fact, tolerating the nonstop Game Center nag screens is the most difficult task of this game.
Classic gameplay. Fun puzzles. Lots of action. Exactly what I was after.
One of the best classic D&D style games I have played in a long time.
Loved everything, puzzles, fighting, strategy. Must buy game
I cut my RPG teeth on Ultima Underworld, Might & Magic (old PC versions 1, 2, etc), AD&D on AOL, etc. LoG was such a surprise & breath of fresh air when I started crawling around the dungeons of Grimrock! Felt right at home playing. Well worth the $$. You an old school RPG person? If so, buy this now! You wont be disappointed...
